I would like to draw your attention to the new specialties section in the navigation menu. This section pertains to anything non-CS but that which is still clan related.
Basically, at the moment this is the place to go if you want to see who in the clan is doing the extracurricular activites currently available like DoD and StarCraft.

I forgot to mention it but on friday night RuaRi did a great job of winning 2 StarCraft matches during the 3 player FFA match. Both times, he dominated the opposition utilizing his 'pump-out-Battlecruisers' tecnique. You can download the replay here, just right click and save target on the link SC22-02-2003. Place this inside your starcraft/maps/replays directory, and from the single player part of the game you can watch it so long as your StarCraft version is on the latest patch.

Yesterday, on Sunday, we had a Counter Strike match in Web Workhouse. It was a 5v5 versus (DOA)'s clan on de_dust2. We did not have all of our best players there, but we still gave them a run for their money (and our money) until our money ran out and they beat us 2-10 as Ts and again 2-10 as CTs. I would like to honor Skalragg for his great performance during and after the match. He tried to keep our team together, but to no avail. Thanks to Skalragg, ClassZdefiler, Titan, and Rincewind for showing up to the match on very short notice, or no notice at all in Rincewind's case! I'm hoping that next time we can substitute Titan or even myself for a player like HAL9000 or Yautja if he ever decides to come back!

Hey sorry guys about the last minute cancellation of the DoD match. It is rescheduled for next Saturday. We just didn't have enough people to go this time. There is still a clanmatch on tomorrow, this is against the D.O.A. (dead on arrival) clan.
On a non-clan related note, today I went to a Magic: The Gathering tournament and placed 8th out of about 40 players using a mono-red deck. My match score was 3.5-1 with the last match being a special type of draw. That equated to 10pts and qualified me for the next Irish MTG Nationals in Carlow! I have to especially thank Thomas Ralph, a level 2 judge and a friend of mine for lending me his 'Evil Red' deck. Guys, wish me luck in Carlow because I'm really going to need it!

Clanmatch on Sunday in WWH against some unknown clan who's leader/member crept up to me one day in Pres and slyly suggested a clanmatch. I still don't have a clue who we are up against or the guy's name but he said Sunday and I said okay...make it high noon, and bring yer revolvers for the shootout! Just kidding, I am still too sure of the time but those DSC guys who show up will be 'accomodated for'.
Hmm, it seems the world has turned topsy-turvey and d34gl3_3v4n just can't live without DSC, so he has rejoined the clan. (That's something Yautja has yet to do...)
Well, well, what's new? I have been thinking of forming the first DSC DoD Squad. So far, there has been a pretty good response to this idea. I will need 8 players who are available and willing to play Day of Defeat in Web Work House (hopefully up in the isolation chamber) every other Saturday from 10am till Noon beginning with this one. I suppose trials will be on this Saturday, so whoever shows gets in.
Also, so far we have a 4-player Starcraft game running onine every Friday night in channel Dripsey. Contact me for the time if you are interested, there are 4 more slots available!
Was this the longest post yet? Amazing...

Hmm. I'm legal they tell me. 18 years and all I get for it is the title of adult and the legal permission to drink alcohol.
February, on Saturday the 8th, I will be having a CS party for my 18th at Web Workhouse (well 80% sure at this point). Obviously I can't book the place, so anyone who doesn't get 'invited' is okayed by me to show up. I will hopefully be running my own server for the day, so we don't have to deal with any unwanteds.

For anyone interested WarpCon XIII is on at UCC this weekend starting friday. Registration is in the student building in UCC on Friday. Admission is 14 euro, and there are loads of games to play within. There will be RPG's (including LARP's), Magic: The Gathering, and Warhammer (normal + 40K), and all sorts of other things. I have gone to 2 of the previous year's WarpCon's, and let me tell you it's a card-floppers / dice-rollers heaven! Hope to see you guys there.

I like Counter-Strike alot, but I have to admit that it's only second on my favourite game list. Starcraft is my favourite and I have been alloted 1 hr. every friday to play it! Old, yes. But classic? Certainly. I'm trying to get an 8-player melee up on friday nights... so if anyone is available please email me.

I'm thinking of letting HAL9000 (my brother) take over the site just for the next 5 months whilst I study for and complete my Leaving Cert. in June.
Wait a minute... *signal transmission*...
'This just in from the Board of Education! - The Leaving Cert. Officially Sucks!'
1 day until school re-opens... and that means studying, grinds, and overall torture. If I suddenly disappear, don't worry, HAL will take over for me.
Oh wait, I just remembered, I'm being banned from the PC until Leaving Cert is done with. Oh well, you guys WON'T be seeing me at all then. Only 5 months to go, and I've got to take a Spanish Oral in March, so back to the books. See you guys in summer!

That's about it...I'm running out of things to say. Oh yes, DSC are likely to be getting their very own server with a fixed ip address. I'll let you guys know if this does come about. I didn't say it before but at the latest online match DSC beat HnR (Hit n' Run) at 11:10. It was a close match all around. Check out match comments for more details.

Well, well... its almost the end of 2002, and in the 'Happy New Year' spirit, I have compiled some of the sprays I have made from the year and added them to the clan extras, sprays page. There are 6 new multi-color sprays, 2 of these being gum-wrappers that I scanned in during blizzards of boredom.
Here is the list of new sprays:

It seems that Yautja has quit from the clan and gone off with his favorite sheep!
HAL9000 (aka my dumbass little brother) seems to have pissed him off enough to make him quit the clan, take down the site, and go marry a sheep (Warning: Only 2 of these is true). Really I am not to sure what happened, but I think HAL kicked him from an online clan match (DSC v HnR).
Anyways, I will be taking over the site management again, so if you have any troubles feel free to contact me. However much I enjoy this new responsibility, I also have the Leaving Cert. still to deal with, so please bear in mind that site updates could be quite scare, especially come summer (as the L.C. in in June). Good luck guys, I will be scheduling another LAN-Match for clan members soon, so watch the site.

Another site update, again! Revolver Ocelot has been added to the clan pages, sorry about the delay. We've also got a new piece of artwork by Skalragg, it's the usual DSC scar now given an Irish twist. Go see it on the Clan Extras page.
We'll also be holding a clan practice session on Friday the 27th on our own Barrysworld server. All clan members should've received an email about this (if not, email HAL). A clan match versus HnR is scheduled for after the clan practice. Goto the Next Clan Match page to find out more.

First of all, the rest of the site updates (ie. spelling mistake corrections and clan member infos) will be coming up later in the weekend.
Anyway, it seems we may be soon getting our own clan server. But it will cost us.
Let HAL explain:
"Ok, I found out some details about a possible server. We'll able to have 4 hrs of booking time each week, for clan matches and practices etc. We only have to pay £24 a year, this is reduced though to £12 a year because our clan leader, Zimtok5, has a GAME membership card.

Another site update. Members Praetorian, Archangel and Oxy have been removed from the clan due to long periods of absenteeism. Wamphyre and Zimtok5's profiles have also been updated.
Alot has been happening in the DSC forums. It seems that Skalragg, our resident General Discussion moderator, has been giving a few forum regulars a hard time with his apparently oppresive and thread deleting rule. Meanwhile RuaRi, moderator of the "free world" of the riddles section, has set up a resistance movement in an attempt to liberate the enslaved General Discussioners into his section. Skalraggism propaganda claims that he deleted the threads because they were spreading anti-skalraggism and making personal attacks on his dictatorship. What will be the result of this interesting turn of events? Only time will tell...
On another note, on Friday the 13th (oooh!), we (HAL and I) trialed 2 regular attendants of clan practice sessions - Ungoliant and Legolas (Tolkien fanatics are taking over the world!!). The basic idea was that they had to win 4 rounds in 10. They didn't. Oh well... maybe next time.

Curse my modem! Curse my graphics card! Take heed young'uns, 20fps with 300ping is NOT the best way to play CS - especially when you're on fy_iceworld with 14 other people.
10 kills, 39 deaths... *sigh*
Anyway, it seems that we may have a new recruit - AngelFrogg. I've known this guy for awhile now and he seems pretty handy with CS. Expect to see him in future online matches!

Yep, it's finally here, the new DemonSkullClan.com site design by yours truly.
Gone are the days of ugly images, "Copyright 2002 Brad Peyton" and Mr. Z is Zimtok5 (sorry Zimtok  ). To be replaced by not so ugly images, "Copyright 2002 Demon Skull Clan" and some other stuff... Let us rejoice in this wonderous new gift that is the site redesign! All hail Yautja as the new god (of the site at least)! Muhahahaha!
